Im Juni 2020 habe ich mit der Implementierung der Exposure Notifications API auf einem ESP32 begonnen. In diesem Vortrag möchte ich über die Implementierung, Einschränkungen und die Vorteile der Nutzung eines Mikro-Controllers mit BLE und WiFi als Hardware-Token für (Corona-) Kontaktverfolgung und Verbindung mit der deutschen Corona Warn App sprechen. Da sich im Sommer Steini und andere CADUS-Mitglieder an mich gewandt haben, werden wir zusammen auch einen Blick auf den aktuellen Status unseres Prototyps und zukünftige Pläne werfen, die Hardware in Flüchtlingslagern einzusetzen.

In june 2020 I started on implementing the Exposure Notification API on an ESP32. In this talk I want to talk about the implementation, limitation, progress and advantages of using a small micro controller with BLE and WiFi as a hardware token for (corona) contact tracing and connecting it with the German Corona Warn App. As in summer steini and other members of CADUS reached out to me, we will also take a look together at the current status of our prototype and future plans in bringing the hardware into refugee camps.
